The American Psychological Association estimates that kids today receive 14,000 sexualized messages per year. The average age of exposure to pornography, is eleven (one study found it to be eight). Research estimates 20% of teens are involved in “sexting” ~ sending or receiving pictures of themselves or friends naked or nearly-naked. Oral sex has become commonplace among teens. This is not the same world in which our grandparents raised us.

The first two sections of the article can be depressing, but they provide essential information. The last sections provide solutions and tools.
