The Social Costs of Pornography

Most people think pornography only costs those who use it.  But they’re wrong.  Pornography affects everyone, both financially and socially.  In 2010 The Witherspoon Institute, a think tank organization published an excellent booklet titled, “The Social Costs of Pornography,” identifying eight findings regarding the social costs of pornography.  In this article I have built upon the Witherspoon findings, and carried the conversation farther, providing further findings and supporting each with examples of pornography’s corrosive and costly effects  within today’s culture.  The article finishes with a summary of actions each reader may take to push back.
