Pornography: The Victimless Crime

So a person looks at a little porn now and then — no harm, no foul, right?  I mean, isn’t pornography the “victimless crime?”  Actually, research is finding that it is anything but victimless.  Here are the known victims:  The porn “stars” ~ production crews ~ marketing people ~ sales people ~ husbands ~ wives ~ single adults ~ boys ~ girls….  Virtually anyone who has anything to do with pornography is harmed by it.  There is absolutely no redeeming social value to it.

This document is the by-product of three years’ work with the St. Louis Roman Catholic Archdiocese’s ministry called, “As For Me And My House.”  One day I was asked to help produce a DVD on the subject of who pornography’s victims include.  After filming for an hour, I returned home and turned my presentation notes into a written document.  This is that document.  It’s still somewhat in note format, but it makes the point clearly.
