Dealing With Sibling Rivalry

One of the basic character-development discussions parents must repeatedly have with their children, involves the use vs. abuse of power.  Sibling rivalry is all about power.  The childish quarrel over who had the doll or the toy truck first is often far more than a disagreement about rights and justice ~ it’s often about raw aggression and power.

And the more frequently sibling rivalries occur, the more mom and dad need to look into their own “executive subsystem” functioning, to see if there are problems at that level, that are leaking down into the “children’s subsystem.”
