When a person finds that they just can’t quit going back to pornography or other sexual stimulants (other than marital sex. that is), there are usually clinical issues pulling levers and pushing buttons behind the scenes ~ sort of like the Wizard that is unmasked at the end of the “Wizard of Oz” movie. Although people may be aware of these issues, they’re usually unaware of the connection between the issues and their sexual actions. This article is somewhat like Dorothy’s dog, Toto, running behind the wall and leading to the discovery of the Wizard. The article provides basic clinical understanding of what emotional triggers are and how they work ~ which in turn provides insight and strength to overcome.
